Michael Vaclav is Postdoctoral Lecturer in English at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Early Modern British Literature, Shakespeare, Drama, and Restoration Literature. His work examines the intersection of political scandal and adaptation, which is the focus of his current research project, tentatively titled Eikonik Shakespeare: Echoes of the Eikon Basilike on the Restoration Stage.
